Snow Day!

Today school was canceled for NYC for the first time in over 5 years. They got 8 inches of snow. Here on Long Island, we were closer to a foot. It's the most snow we've gotten since we moved here.

It made for a great day. The kids stayed home and helped with spring cleaning. They consider the snow a birthday present from Mother Nature. I shoveled the front steps and walk, and waved to everybody else on the block shoveling their front steps and walks. After the roads were well cleared, Clint shoveled out the car and went on in the the greenhouses and lab. But it was nice to have him working at home this morning.

I will admit, I was rather put out when I heard the weather predictions for this mess. A couple of 50 degree days, and I'm a wuss. But nor'easter gave our family a great day together, and I can't complain about that. Besides, spring can't be too far away.

I'm so glad you found my blog! I didn't even know you had one. I miss the book club quite a bit and finally signed up for 'goodreads' online. I'm reading a biography on O. Porter Rockwell right now which is very interesting. Oh and I just bought my first very own yoga mat a few weeks ago!

When you left, I didn't have one. I'm kinda late to the game.
And yea! for you for yoga! I'm still teaching at the church 6 a.m. Tues/Thurs, 7a.m. Sat. It's early, but it works.
